With summer just around the corner, now is the time to get your body in shape and ready for swimsuit season. Want to get the abs you have always dreamed of right in the comfort of your Dallas apartment? Check out the ab exercises below to flatten your stomach in no time.

Plank With Leg Raise

You can use this exercise to strengthen both your ab muscles and your glutes. Assume the planking position with your forearms resting on the floor, and your hands clasped directly below your head. Make sure your back is straight, and your abs are tightened. Tighten your glute and pull your leg up so that your foot is several inches off the floor. Keep your foot flexed and perform ten reps on each side. 

Half-Seated Hip Circle

This exercise is great for engaging your obliques as well as the rest of your abdominal muscles. From a seated position, recline and lean back on your elbows. Keep your abs tight and cup your hips with your hands. Try to keep your pelvis as still as possible. Next, keep your back pressed down while you extend your legs to a 60-degree angle. With your toes pointed and your inner thighs tightly together, move both feet in large clockwise circles. Repeat ten times clockwise then another ten times counterclockwise. 

Toe Taps

Toe Taps is a great ab workout for beginners, and it can be modified into a more difficult workout for those who are advanced. Start by lying on the ground with your arms resting at your sides. Pull your knees up to a 90-degree angle so that they are positioned over your abs. Take turns slowly lowering one leg at a time and then return it to the starting position. Continue to alternate with each leg; moving the leg in slow motion so that each rep takes about a minute. Start with 15 reps on each leg.
