At South Side Flats, our pet-friendly apartments in Dallas<\/a>, we're looking forward to cooler weather and maybe a bit of baking. And who better to share with than a treat-loving dog?<\/p>\n

Here is a fun and fast recipe for PB&P (peanut butter and pumpkin) dog treats. You probably have the ingredients in your cupboard, and it will take only a few minutes to mix them.<\/p>\n

Then, just pop these treats into the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

PB&P (Peanut Butter and Pumpkin) Dog Treats<\/h2>\n

This is a fun recipe to make with the kids, for sharing, or even as a treat to take to the local shelter. Dogs love pumpkin and peanut butter, and these little biscuits are sure to impress. The hardest part is waiting for them to cool so you can let the pup dig in! <\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/h3>\n

• 1 1\/2 cup instant or one-minute oats <\/li>\n
• Half can of pumpkin puree (unspiced)<\/li>\n
• 1\/2 cup peanut butter (natural, no added salt, no xylitol)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Making the Dough<\/h3>\n

  • Preheat your oven to 325 F. <\/li>\n
  • Pulverize the oats in a blender or food processor, and add the peanut butter and pumpkin puree. Blend into the consistency of cookie dough.<\/li>\n
  • Place your dough in a mixing bowl, and add more oats if needed for thickness.<\/li>\n
  • Roll your dough out onto a floured cutting board. Cut into cookies or squares.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Baking the Biscuits<\/h3>\n

    • Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet. Be sure the baking sheet is greased — or, preferably, covered with baking parchment paper.<\/li>\n
    • Bake the biscuits for 25 minutes. Remove them from the oven if they've become slightly browned and firm. If not, bake them another five minutes, until the treats are dry and hard.<\/li>\n
    • Allow plenty of time for the biscuits to cool before giving them to your pup.<\/li>\n
    • Store extra treats in a cookie tin. Or start sharing these around immediately!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
