Generally speaking, the Oscars are a lot more fun if you and your friends have actually seen a lot of the movies presented — meaning that your preparation for your party is going to need to start early. This is one of the reasons why Oscar ratings are always higher during years where the "Best Picture" nominees are incredibly popular. More people have seen them and, because of that, they take a more vested interest in who wins.<\/p>\n
