""No matter the occasion, carefully wrapping gifts is always a nice touch that the recipient will appreciate. However, chances are there has been a time when you’ve run out of ribbon, wrapping paper, or boxes. Fortunately, it is still possible to wrap a gift beautifully without having these materials at your disposal. Here are a few unique ways to wrap gifts.

1. USE FABRIC AS A RIBBON

If you’ve run out of ribbon to make a bow for your presents, you should consider using any leftover fabric that you have lying around. Simply cut the fabric into pieces of thin, long strips. In fact, if you have plenty of pretty fabric, you should consider just using fabric as ribbons all the time rather than buying ribbons from the store. Recipients of your gifts will definitely view the fabric ribbon as a nice touch.

2. DIP THE GIFT IN CONFETTI

Another unique way to wrap a gift is dipping it in confetti. If the wrapping paper you have on hand is very plain, you should consider livening it up by dipping it in confetti. All you need to do is apply double-sided tape to the wrapping paper. When you dip the gift, the confetti will stick right onto the double-sided tape.

3. USE CHALKBOARD MARKERS

If you have black wrapping paper or bags, you can use chalkboard markers to write on them. This will give the gift the appearance of a school chalkboard, making this a particularly great idea for teachers and students. You can also use a piece of yarn rather than store-bought ribbon to create a bow for the gift.

Another good idea for using chalkboard markers with gifts is creating chalkboard gift tabs. You can just paint thin slabs of wood black and then use chalkboard gift tabs to write the name of the recipient of the gift. Besides writing the name of the recipient, you can also use the chalkboard markers to draw designs.
