""Some dogs love to romp around in the snow while others visibly shiver when the temperatures start to drop. If you live in our apartments in Dallas, you may not see a lot of frost this year, but that doesn’t mean your pup won’t appreciate a little extra warmth. When the weather starts to cool down, give your dog more insulation by making them a sweater.

REFASHIONING

This is probably one of the best and easiest ways to reuse old sweaters that you have lying around the house or sweaters that you find in a thrift store. All you have to do is find a pattern that will look cute on your dog, get their measurements, and then start tailoring the fabric just for them. There are so many things out there that might not be right for you that will look adorable on your dog. Plus, it will give you a chance to work on your sewing skills.

KNITTING

If you want to use your own fabric and material, then knitting is one of the easier ways to get your dog into some new threads. There are plenty of designs for small to medium-sized dogs, and you don’t have to be an expert knitter to make them. All you have to know is your basic stitching and cable techniques, and you’ll be well on your way. Knitting is definitely not just for your grandmother, it’s a good way to use your hands to be productive when you’re at home. It can even be relaxing!

CROCHETING

Crocheting is a little more difficult than knitting when it comes to sweaters, but you may like the challenge. Plus, there are designs for crocheted dog sweaters that promise to be both cute and easy to make. If you have any special phrases or names for your dog, then you may even want to personalize the fabric before you get started!
